Combining their love of gardens and their over 2 decades of collective hospitality industry experience - Dan and Alex had the “a ha!” moment in 2020 when realizing there was a fantastic opportunity to create an event venue in Maryland - inspired by the lush gardens of Great Britain and only a short distance outside of Washington, D.C.

Quince is a heritage plant that has appeared in literature and gardens since the Ancient Greeks. Beyond their beautiful blooms in early spring it also bears delicious fruit in the fall and has long been a symbol for love as well as an important element in weddings around the world.
We chose the quince as our namesake for the property because we thought it was a perfect symbol for what we were looking to create - a beautiful space that felt established and welcoming for weddings and events with a hint of the unexpected. It is a nod to history with a fresh perspective. The quince is a symbol of beauty and growth in this moment as well as in years to come.

The property boasts a number of different spaces for both ceremony and reception to take place throughout the property. QBR’s flower program focuses on perennial production of the in-demand specialty cuts such as peonies, roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and specialty fillers that are highly sought after by the local event floral community.
